Byrd Project
Project Brief
We began this job with the pool installation and building a deck that would be great for entertaining and sun bathing.
We then added a berm in front for future evergreens to be installed for privacy and not to shed leaves into the pool.
We then constructed a low knee wall in front of the house and installed a double french drain using 2 – 4 inch sock pipes to drain water away from the house.
As we were removing 4 inches of soil along sidewalk, we found 2 downspouts that never went out to any drain, so we added hard pipe and ran them to catch drains we installed to drain water under driveway and away from the house.
Between knee wall and sidewalk we will landscape that area at the appropriate time.
We seeded, fertilized, and strawed the remaining area between wall and fence. It took many loads of topsoil to get the drainage to work the way it needed to be.
The knee wall was made from Belguard block material and finished with a capstone we mitered each one in the curve to perfection.
